OIL PALM

ANJ currently owns four fully operational oil palm plantations: two in North Sumatra, one on Belitung Island, off the eastern coast of Sumatra, and one in West Kalimantan.

The plantations are:

North Sumatra I Plantation
The Company’s oil palm plantation of 9,935 hectares in Binanga, North Sumatra, run by PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri (ANJA).

North Sumatra II Plantation
The Company’s oil palm plantation of 9,639 hectares in Padang Sidempuan, North Sumatra, run by PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri Siais (ANJAS).

Belitung Island Plantation
The Company’s oil palm plantation of 16,307 hectares on Belitung Island, Bangka Belitung Province, run by PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM).

West Kalimantan Plantation
The Company’s oil palm plantation of 16,620 hectares in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, run by PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL).

The ANJA, ANJAS and SMM plantations are all established producing oil palm plantations with mature oil palms. Each plantation is operating an on-site processing mill with a capacity of 60 tonnes per hour.

The plantation in West Kalimantan, KAL, was planted more recently and the first harvesting of palms was in 2014. An on-site processing mill with a capacity of 90 tonnes per hour has been built on October 2016.  The facility comprises of 2 x 45 tonnes per hour lines, the first 45 tonnes per hour line of which has been fully operational since November 2016.

  


South Sumatra and West Papua Landbank

ANJ has also started planting on its landbank in South Sumatra and West Papua.

The Company’s landbank of 12,800 hectares is located in Empat Lawang, South Sumatra, and run by PT Galempa Sejahtera Bersama (GSB).  ANJ started planting in the second half of 2013.

ANJ’s partially planted landbank of 91,242 hectares spreads across three adjacent areas in South Sorong and Maybrat, West Papua, and is run by The Company and its two subsidiaries: PT Permata Putera Mandiri (PPM), and PT Putera Manunggal Perkasa (PMP).

ANJ is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). The Company’s subsidiaries that have been granted RSPO certification are ANJA, ANJAS, and SMM. Meanwhile, KAL is still in the process of obtaining RSPO certification.

All of ANJ’s developing plantations follow RSPO guidelines. The Company intends to apply for certification as they enter commercial operation.
