ANJA AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH-ACHIEVING STUDENTS IN HURISTAK AND SIMANGAMBAT

Padang Lawas, 18 July 2023 – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri (ANJA), a subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ), located in North Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra Province, awarded scholarship assistance to four outstanding students from Huristak District and Simangambat District at the end of last month.  

The ANJA team selected the scholarship recipients based on specific criteria, including coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, residing in proximity to the company, and being active undergraduate (S1) students with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 for the State University students and 3.25 for the Private University students.  

The scholarship was awarded directly by the General Manager of ANJA, Taupan Sibarani, who explained that the four outstanding students were in their fourth and eighth semesters. They hailed from the Sigagan Village and Simangambat Village in the Simangambat District, as well as Tobing Jae Village and Pasir Pinang Village in the Huristak District.  

Each selected student receives a scholarship to offset their education costs during the six-month study period, hoping that it will motivate individuals with the potential and achievements to pursue their education.  

"This scholarship represents the company's support, particularly for the younger generation, motivating them to excel and develop into individuals with scientific competence and notable achievements. Our assistance will be used effectively to support students and their families in meeting their educational needs, enabling them to sustain and enhance their achievements. We hope the scholarship recipients will become high-quality human resources and contribute to the future prosperity and development of the village," Taupan added.  

Mr. Tongku Gumanti Harahap, a parent of one of the students, expressed his gratitude for ANJA's assistance in covering educational costs. He added, "We hope this assistance will motivate us to improve our achievements and contribute to our homeland's development."  

ANJA will continue implementing this scholarship assistance program, supporting and encouraging local children from the Huristak and Simangambat Districts to receive a better education and enhance their achievements. Simultaneously, this program promotes the prosperity and welfare of the communities living around the company through education.
