ANJ GROUP WON AWARD FOR ETHICAL SYSTEM INNOVATION FROM IDX CHANNEL

Jakarta, 23 September 2023 – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ) has achieved another milestone by winning the 2023 IDX Channel Anugerah Innovation Indonesia (ICAII) award for innovation in the Electronic Traceability Information System (eTIS) through its subsidiary, PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri (ANJA). The award was presented to Harsono Sutikno, the representative of ANJ Group, on September 20, 2023, at the Main Hall of the Indonesian Stock Exchange in South Jakarta.

In 2021, ANJ Group initiated a digital transformation by introducing the Electronic Traceability Information System (eTIS). This system enables real-time data recording and logging, streamlining the process for ANJ Group's third-party Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) suppliers to collect, report, and troubleshoot traceability data—such as FFB weighing data or delivery order information—more efficiently while eliminating the need for paper.

“ANJ Group prioritized digital transformation for enhanced connectivity across its operations and employees across Indonesia. As part of our digital transformation program, we developed an electronic traceability system called eTIS, currently employed by over 4,000 farmers for FFB delivery. We hope the eTIS system can empower suppliers to access real-time information about their FFB prices and sales through the dashboard. Meanwhile, on the internal side of the company, we will acquire information about the location of the suppliers' FFB sources, facilitating a swift tracing process," explained Harsono Sutikno, Group Head of ICT & GIS at ANJ.

Harsono juga menjelaskan bahwa sebagai salah satu ambisi besar Grup ANJ dalam hal lingkungan, sosial, dan tata kelola (ESG) adalah mencapai 99% ketertelusuran TBS dari pihak ketiga paling lambat pada tahun 2025. Grup ANJ sudah selesai menerapkan program ketertelusuran elektronik ini di seluruh pemasok TBS pihak ketiga di semua lokasi kebun di tahun 2022.

Harsono also outlined one of ANJ Group's significant ambitions in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG): achieving 99% traceability of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) from third parties by 2025. In 2022, the ANJ Group successfully implemented the electronic traceability program across all suppliers and third-party Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) in all plantation locations.

ICAII is an IDX Channel award that acknowledges companies for successful innovations, fostering positive impacts on their operations and the Indonesian economy. This year, ICAII was held under the theme 'Advancing Agile Innovation For Sustainable Growth,' highlighting the crucial role of innovation in fostering sustainable growth.

The categories assessed at ICAII 2023 include Internal, External, Sustainability, Products, and Business Models, as well as special awards. ICAII 2023 also features special awards for Outstanding Innovative Corporate Leaders, with assessment criteria comprising innovation impact (40%), innovation sustainability (30%), originality (20%), and presentation (10%). The judging process commenced in July 2023, involving the assessment of 48 innovations from 45 companies.

        

Dr. Wahyu T Setyobudi, Chairman of the ICAII 2023 Jury, emphasized that this year's assessment places particular importance on companies demonstrating adaptability in making business decisions amid current economic conditions.

Last year, the ANJ Group secured the ICAII 2022 top award in the internal process category for the 'Responsible Development Program' innovation. Additionally, the group earned recognition in the 'Green Economy' category for the 'Sapu Tangan Jarwo Planting System,' an innovative farming project implemented at PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM), an ANJ subsidiary located in East Belitung.
