PMP AND PPM PROVIDED 1,000 BOOSTER VACCINES IN SORONG SELATAN

Sorong Selatan, 21 Maret 2022 – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ), through its two business units located in South Sorong West Papua, PT Putera Manunggal Perkasa (PMP) and PT Permata Putera Mandiri (PPM), in collaboration with the South Sorong District Health Office, the Kais and Metemani Health Center team, managed to provide 1,000 booster vaccines for employees and BKO TNI-POLRI on 16/3 – 18/3 located in the PMP and PPM hexagons. This activity is the company's contribution to assisting the government's program to accelerate the administration of booster vaccines for businesses.

One of the vaccinators, dr. Nasti from the Kais Health Center said that this booster vaccination is paramount in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19 because the booster stimulates the formation of antibodies in the body, thus preventing Coronavirus infection and extending the period of protection from the Coronavirus.

Through his statement, dr. Fajar Jayapria, ANJ's East Area Doctor, said that 1,000 booster vaccines were prepared for PMP and PPM employees, as well as BKO TNI - POLRI, who had previously received two doses of vaccine three months apart from the second vaccine. The implementation has been carried out simultaneously in each company. "For the current booster vaccination, we use the Pfizer type and those who receive it just need to show their NIK," said dr. Fajar.

 

Ali Dinar Nur, General Manager of PMP and PPM, said that booster vaccinations for employees and the community around the company are a form of the company's commitment to creating a healthy work environment, so accelerating booster vaccinations is a top priority.

"As we all know, administering follow-up or booster vaccinations is necessary to increase individual immunity, reduce the risk of severe Covid exposure, and provide a sense of security for employees at work. So if you have received vaccines 1 and 2, you should continue with this advanced vaccination,” said Ali Dinar Nur.

Given the large number of vaccination participants, the implementation lasted until the evening. "By carrying out immediate vaccinations and strictly implementing the health protocol, we hope that the coronavirus transmission can be controlled soon. Always wear a mask when you have to do activities outside the home, avoid crowds, and wash your hands diligently or use a hand sanitizer," Ali Dinar concluded at the closing of the booster vaccination.
