ANJ WON THE 2023 ANNUAL REPORT AWARD IN THE NON-FINANCE GO PUBLIC COMPANY CATEGORY

Jakarta, 29 November 2023 – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) has been recognized and appreciated for its commitment to information disclosure, business practices, and adherence to a Good Corporate Governance (GCG) approach and sustainability principles.

ANJ secured the 3rd Place title in the Non-Financial Go Public Company category at the 2023 Annual Report Award (ARA). The award ceremony was on Monday (27/11) at the Main Hall, Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Building in Jakarta. Sigit Pramono, Deputy Chair of the National Committee for Governance Policy (KNKG) and ARA 2022 Organizing Committee Chair, personally presented the award to Lucas Kurniawan, President Director of ANJ.

 

The ARA is an annual award given to companies for their commitment to information disclosure and good governance practices. This event was organized collaboratively by the Ministry of BUMN, Directorate General of Taxes, Bank Indonesia, Indonesian Stock Exchange, National Committee for Governance Policy (KNKG), and the Indonesian Accountants Association. The award aims to promote corporate governance principles in Indonesia by assessing company annual reports, focusing on information disclosure under relevant regulations and guidelines, emphasizing clarity and relevance in presentation.

Prof. Mardiasmo, General Chair of KNKG and Director of ARA, highlighted that ARA's initiatives encourage the implementation of corporate governance principles in Indonesia through information disclosure and governance practices.

"Assessments are conducted on the disclosure of annual report information, ensuring compliance with applicable provisions and guidelines, and presented in a relevant and fair manner, accompanied by recommendations for improvements extended to all ARA participants," said Prof. Mardiasmo.

Adrianto Machribie, Chief Commissioner (Independent) of ANJ, welcomed the recognition of ANJ receiving the ARA award for the first time. This award reflects ANJ's commitment as an agribusiness-based food company that has adhered to the information disclosure provisions mandated by regulators and implemented the principles of good corporate governance.

Similarly, Lucas Kurniawan, President Director of ANJ, expressed that this award manifests ANJ's consistency and commitment to prioritizing GCG principles in maximizing company value.

"We hope that this award will further increase the trust of our stakeholders in companies that have prioritized an open and transparent governance culture," explained Lucas. "This year, we've adopted a more inclusive and integrated approach to governance across all levels, as we firmly believe that good management is founded on solid relationships."

In implementing corporate governance, ANJ consistently makes improvements in line with the standards outlined by the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS). In the ACGS assessment for the 2022 financial year, ANJ scored 100.27, earning the title 'Leadership in Corporate Governance' or Level 5 (points > 100). The achievements at the 18th ARA event further complement the reporting appreciation earned by ANJ. On November 6, 2023, ANJ also attained the Platinum Rank Category in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) awarded by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR).

Meanwhile, the SPOTT annual report—a global transparency platform for the palm oil industry that assesses organizations, policies, and practices related to ESG—indicates an increase in ANJ's score from 91.1% in 2022 to 93.3% this year. This score positions ANJ as the fifth-ranked company globally and the highest-ranking company in Indonesia.
