KAL GIVES BASIC FOREST AND LAND FIRE TRAINING TO KTPA AND KAL FIRE TEAM

Ketapang, 1 April 2022 – Together with Manggala Agni Daop Ketapang, PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL), a subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk located in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, held training to increase the ability and knowledge in the prevention and control of forest and land fires for members of the Farmer Firefighting Group (KTPA) and the PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL) Fire Team, from March 29, 2022, to March 31, 2022.
The 'Basic Training on Forest and Land Fires for KTPA and PT Kayung Agro Lestari Fire Team' was held within the company's premises. Also participating in the activity were the Ketapang Regency Plantation Office, Ketapang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and North Matan Hilir District-Level Executive Conference (MUSPIKA). The KTPAs involved were Kuala Tolak Village KTPA, Kuala Satong Village KTPA, Laman Satong Village KTPA, and BSL Cooperative KTPA.
In the training activity, the participants participated in the training materials provided both theoretically and practically, such as fire and fire anatomy, storage and handling of flammable materials, installation, detection systems, fire alarms, and the organization of emergency response systems.
In his speech, Mr. Dadi as the General Manager of KAL conveyed the importance of competent resources in preventing and controlling forest and land fires. In addition, this activity is a manifestation of the company's commitment to participate in the prevention and management of forest and land fires, and most importantly, it is a manifestation of ANJ's values, namely Continues Improvement. With this routine training, it is hoped that KTPA members will actively participate in spreading information to the public on the prevention and control of forest fires and forest fires.
"This certified training is very important for improving the skills of the company’s firefighting teams and appointed staff to better understand the risk of fire hazards in their respective work locations," said Dadi.
